Performance review

We have performance reviews twice a year. We have monthly one-on-one meetings and interim review meetings for each performance review to offer an opportunity to encourage employees to grow through timely and appropriate feedback. In addition, multiple managers evaluate one employee in the review process to ensure fairness and impartiality.

Equity awards / Employee stock ownership program

We have introduced equity awards to help motivate our employees to further contribute to our growth and to increase morale. In addition, we have established the Employee Stock Ownership program to support our employees’ asset building.

“Value Champion Awards”

We nominate and give “Value Champion Awards” to our employees and projects that best represent our corporate values on a semi-annual basis. The categories include Best Individual, Best Project, Honorable Mention, and Best New Face, and nominees are chosen by recommendations from our executives and managers. Through this Award Program, we share and recognize our corporate values that we should embody when developing and delivering our services at WealthNavi. We believe that the Awards help our employees motivate themselves as well as learn, advance and thrive in their careers.

Weekly Get-Together

We hold a weekly Get-Together to welcome new employees, celebrate employees’ birthdays, give awards to employees, and enjoy seasonal events. We strive to create a comfortable working environment by getting to know each other.

Encouraging women’s advancement

At WealthNavi, we are proactively appointing female managers in order to reflect diverse perspectives in our management strategies. As the number of female managers who play active roles in finance and technology industries is still insufficient in Japan, we have launched the “Equal Opportunity Project” to support the career development of female managers through such activities as sessions by external guests.

We are working to reduce overtime work and balance workload by monitoring working hours and interviewing employees. WealthNavi supports a better environment, health and safety (EHS) at the workplace and complies with all relevant laws, regulations and our internal rules in order to promote the well-being of our employees.

Early detection of health issues

We are striving to promote our employees’ health. Our employees have annual medical checkups and stress level assessment along with consultation by our occupational doctor. In addition, we have set up a hotline to talk on any issues regarding EHS.

Workplace health promotion

In accordance with the Industrial Safety and Health Act, we hold Health Committees on a monthly basis. The committee members include the Chair, a health manager, an occupational doctor, and representative employees with experience in health management. The Health Committee discusses issues such as employees’ health and work environment, and these discussions are reflected in occupational safety measures to ensure that all employees can work in good physical and mental health.
